9 days Uganda Tour

 

Day 1:
Meet and greet at Entebbe International Airport by Shalom Safaris  Guide who will warmly welcome you and facilitate seamless arrival formalities.  After a short transfer to your hotel you will be briefed about the safari. Depending on the time of arrival e.g if your flight arrives in the morning, you are advised to have money changed this day. To get to know Kampala, you can visit some of the landmarks in town with the help of our driver/guide. Overnight at Hotel Africana or Hotel International. BB

Day 2: Depart from Kampala early morning and proceed south-west.  have a stop over at the Equator for photos. The drive takes you through savannah grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle with their incredible long curving horns. Then you ascend into the Kigezi highlands, known as the "Switzerland of Africa", with terraced farming and mountain scenery to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Dinner and overnight at L. Kitandara Tented Camp.  FB

Day 3:
Go for gorilla tracking walking up steeply in the dense rain forest through different animals’ trails allowing access to tourists. Gorilla tracking is an inspiring and wonderful adventure which one can’t miss. The Gorilla is a shy and peaceful animal and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact. Enjoy the Buhoma Village Walk organized by the local community. Dinner and overnight at L. Kitandara Tented Camp. FB

Day 4:
After morning breakfast we trasfer to the Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving at Mweya Safari Lodge in time for lunch. Enroute given the weather condition we shall be driving through the Ishasha sector which the habours the tree climbing lions and if lucky, we shall spot some of them or user an alternative route through Ishaka then check in at the lunch. Then proceed for a unique two hour launch cruise along the kazinga channel which is takes you through many school of Hippos, Crocodiles, Elephants and Buffaloes etc noit leaving out the diverse birds’ species including the migrants.

Day 5:
After an early Breakfast we’ll go for a morning game drive in the Park. Expect to see the famous Big Five; Elephant, Buffalos, Lions, Bush bucks, Kobs, Giant forest hog, Hyenas and Waterbucks.
In the afternoon we’ll proceed to Kyambura Gorge for Chimp tracking, then drive back to Fort Portal for dinner and Over night stay.

 


Day 6:
All day drive south via Fort Portal, Hoima. Masindi to Murchsion Falls National Park through the countryside and passing traditional homesteads and farms. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge 

Day 7:
Early morning game drive on the northern bank.  Anima species expected include: elephant, lion, cape buffalo, Roth child’s giraffe, hartebeest, waterbuck, oribi, bushbuck, bohor reed buck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard.  After a packed lunch picnic, go for a boat safari upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just tens of meters from the ‘Devil’s Cauldron’, marvel at the toothsome hippos, crocodiles and over the 17km stretch you may see elephant, waterbuck and Uganda Kob.  This is also the zone of many birds, species like goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork.  After taking shorts of the photogenic Murchison Falls, return to Paraa Lodge or Nile Safari Camp for dinner and overnight. Day 8:
After an early morning breakfast leisurely drive to upto Mable time allowing we shall be able to interact with the as they conclude their Circumcision ceremonies. Dinner and over night stay at Mbale Mount Elgon Hotel

Day 9:
After a morning breakfast continue to Sipi Falls then drive back with a branch off to Bujagali falls, watch the real sparkling white water of the Nile as it forces its way through the stones to the Mediterranean sea, receive entertainment by the Budondo cultural group, see the white water rafters, learn the mysteries that surrounds Bujjagali falls lunch then proceed to the Source of the Nile and later to Kampala. End of our tour.
