Lake Mburo, Bwindi and Bunyonyi


DAY 1:
After an early morning breakfast from your respective place of accommodation, drive to south-western parts and have a stop over at Mpanga forest for a short natural walk which involves different activities like bird watching, butterfly viewing and many primate types and also at the equator for photography then lunch in Mbarara town, proceed to Lake Mburo national park. Have dinner and overnight at Rwonyo Rest Camp.  

DAY 2:
After an early morning breakfast, proceed for a game drive along the tourist tracks which exposes you to a diverse species of animals including waterbucks, warthogs, zebras and a variety of bird species or example the rare shoebill. Have a break and lunch. Proceed for a boat cruise inside Lake Mburo where you will be able to view the different attractions including hippos, crocodile, pelican and the rare shoebills. Have dinner and overnight at the camp.

DAY 3:
After an early morning breakfast, take another game drive to view more wildlife then after break, drive to the south-western parts with views of the large banana plantations, the long curving horned cattle, papyrus, acacia woodland, and terraced landscape of the ‘Switzerland of Africa’, the Kigezi highlands on your way to BIN.P. Dinner o/n stay at Lake Kitandara Camp.

DAY 4:
After an early breakfast and briefing from the ranger guide, set off for gorilla tracking in the sanctuary. The activity starts at 8.00am therefore it is advisable for our clients to carry a picnic lunch, drinking water, rain jacket and jungle boots, rangers will be able to provide you with a walking stick. There is no fixed time for gorilla tracking as it depends on the distance to where they spent the night; depending on the time when the tracking ends we shall go for an evening village walk. Dinner and over night stay at Lake Kitandara Camp
 
DAY 5:
After breakfast and the previous day interaction with the giants in the Jungle, with a picnic lunch, from the camp, sadly leave their home for lake Bunyonyi where we shall reach in the evening and check in at Bushara islands.

 



DAY 6:
 After early morning breakfast we go for excursions aroud Bunyonyi; Visits to most places of interest around lake Bunyonyi can be arranged through the lake shore resorts and hotels and its also possible to reach some sites using boats along the lake.

DAY 7:
After breakfast, Leisurely drive back to Kampala with a stop over for lunch en-route.  Stop at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers where you will be able to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through the generations.  There will also be time to stop at the Equator for photographs which is optional after visiting it on the first day.  You will arrive in Kampala in the early evening. You can either transfer to the airport or spend an overnight at Sheraton Hotel or Hotel Africana.
